Summary

Dunn Building Company was awarded a contract to renovate the old "Hayes Target Building" in Leeds, Alabama. The facility will be operated by Guzzler Manufacturing, that will be expanding their existing operation across Borden Avenue to this renovated building. The scope of this work includes complete demolition of the interior of the building, removal of all metal roof and wall sheeting and select structures, supplementing the existing steel framed PEMB as needed, installing all new roof and wall sheeting and insulation, constructing a new Office space of approximately 1,650 SF to include metal stud framed drywall partitions, acoustical ceilings, cabinetry, new restroom facilities, fluorescent lighting, HVAC and Fire Protection. The Shop area will include new Hi-Bay Fluorescent Lighting, Gas Heaters, Fire Protection, Exhaust Fans, Roll-up Doors, and Personnel Doors. Site Work includes re-construction of an existing Loading Dock to include new concrete paving and a recessed pit for a Hydraulic Dock Leveler. Also included is regrading the lot to provide positive drainage away from the building and constructing a new concrete drainage flume across the rear of the property. The lot will be paved with crushed stone. Portions of the existing Chain Link Fence will be replaced and / or repaired.
