This project was a 14,000 SF Expansion of the High Bay Manufacturing Building on the Teledyne Brown Engineering campus in Huntsville. It consisted of a tall pre-engineered metal building with a bridge crane extension as well as deep pit foundation for a large machine tool for machining of the Owner’s product. Dunn's scope of work included sitework including rammed aggregate piers for foundations for the large machine tool. The building sat on spread footings. The skin of the building was insulated metal panels, including the roof, and the walls matched the existing building closely. There were also electrical and mechanical systems included, as well as a fire protection system complete with fire pump and emergency generator.
